Black Friday: the shopping mecca for every serious shopper in America. It’s only 1-month away, which means stores and brands are already hinting at what kind of deals they’ll be offering this Black Friday. Millions of other shoppers will be pounding the pavement with you that Friday, which means you need to prep like a pro to make the most out of the experience.
Here are a few tips for owning Black Friday this year:
1. Shop Local:
Did you know in addition to the big corporations, local stores will also be hosting their own deals? Call up stores in your community and ask about their deals. Chances are, they will open later than the big stores so you can hit these ones on your way home Friday morning.
2. Snacks:
You may think you’ll still be in a food coma from Thanksgiving, but you want to make sure your blood sugar stays stable waiting in lines for an upwards of 4-hours. Don’t be one of the people who faints in a Black Friday line.
3. Night Owl:
Black Friday kick-starts around 10PM on Thanksgiving now. You have to be part of the first wave of shoppers, or you’ll miss the best deals. Hit the road immediately on Thanksgiving, and plan for a 2 or 3AM bedtime instead.
4. Fine Print:
Many stores are trying to lure you in on Black Friday, so they’re not above some false advertising. Read the fine print on every Black Friday ad you encounter. Chances are, stores aren’t telling you the whole story. Although, fret not, some stores out there are indeed offering you some incredible sales.
Don’t let Black Friday intimidate you – get out there and own it this November.
