Capitalize From Starbucks’ Discounts Like a Pro

  09/21/2017

Whether we want to admit it or not, we’ve all purchased a Frappacino from Starbucks at one point or another in our lives. Some people are seriously addicted to the coffee chain, while others stop in once or twice a week for their favorite type of coffee concoction. Notorious for being an expensive habit, Starbucks can be a quick money drain.

Here are a few hacks for capitalizing from Starbucks’ discounts like a pro:

1. Bring Your Own Cup:
Starbucks spares you ten cents if you bring your own cup to the establishment for your drink. This may sound like a miniscule amount, but if you’re buying 3 or more drinks there per week, it adds up over time.

2. Tap Water:
Starbucks has the nerve to charge more than $2 per bottle of water sold every day. If you are parched, ask the barista for a cup of tap water instead. She’ll only charge you for the cup, and you’ll be saving $2 in the end.

3. Do-It-Yourself:
Did you know you can make your own venti iced latte for less money at Starbucks? Instead of ordering the drink itself, which is $4.45, you can ask for three espresso shots over ice, which comes to $3.05, and go over to the condiment counter for some milk. Once you pour, you’re done! Enjoy that venti iced latte.

4. Split The Drink:
If you’re with a friend, order a venti-sized drink and pour it in half after purchase. It’s more cost effective than each buying your own small.

5. Say No To Snacks:
Starbucks is full of artificial, factory-packed snacks that are terrible for you and don’t taste great, either. Keep your call stocked with nuts, protein bars, and granola bars for when you’re feeling hungry-on-the-go.

Don’t let Starbucks beat you out in the pricing war. Go in there, and navigate it like a pro.
